Well where do I begin... I'd been having mulitple sessions with Barbara on and off for the past 5/6 years for various emotional challenges. We have managed to successfully overcome each and every challenge/difficulty that I have faced within my life so far. If it wasn't for her help and support, I wouldn't of found the freedom that I have today. She help release me from the emotional 'chains' I didn't even realise I had. She has helped to give me a new lease in life and transformed it ways I couldn't explain. She has gone above and beyond her therapist job role and her sessions have always been full of love, kindness, respect, understanding and most importantly needed within suchvulnerable situations... safety. Having tried both myself, and what turned out to be a very inferior counselling alternative, I started my journey with Barbara in 2024 following a very strong recommendation from someone else she had helped. This was my first venture into psychotherapy and I have to be honest that I was a little apprehensive. Barbara immediately put me at ease and it became very clear very quickly that this was going to be very, very different to the counselling sessions I had attended with someone else previously. Barbara does not have a singular, one size fits all approach, her methodology is tailored, tweaked and personal. Barbara made me feel safe, comfortable and most importantly, heard. Barbara does not judge or dictate, but at the same time does challenge and question. She got me to things I didn't even know existed in my head and my life that were holding me back from being my true authentic self. Her techniques have had such a profound positive impact for both myself and my life in so many different ways including dealing with the various volatile relationships I had with others. I was terrified before about going to therapy and confronting my issues but Barbara made me feel comfortable and safe to express my problems and learn how to cope with them. I was literally at rock bottom but 4 months later my life couldn't be any more different. From the initial consultation, Barbara was warm, understanding and knowledgeable. From the first meeting I was put at ease and willing to explore everything Barbara wanted to do with me. I had a number of issues to deal with but after the very first appointment, I could feel a difference. I would rarely smile but after the first meeting I was walking down the road with a smile on my face. If you're hesitating about whether to make an appointment, all I can say is don't hesitate and make that appointment. Barbara will make you feel so much better.
